Dr. Jeffrey Tsao, MD is a board-certified comprehensive ophthalmologist who is passionate about providing high-quality care that puts the patient first. He is dedicated to the craft of cataract surgery and loves learning new techniques to provide the best result tailored for each patient’s needs.
He attended UC Berkeley as a Regents’ and Chancellor’s Scholar and graduated with a major in Molecular and Cell Biology (emphasis Neurobiology), followed by medical school at UC San Diego. He completed residency training at the UC Irvine Gavin Herbert Eye Institute and worked for several years in the Bay Area providing comprehensive eye care to an underserved community before joining Fullerton Eye Institute. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery with research interests centered in diagnostic devices as well as innovative surgical instruments.
He is proficient in medical Spanish and enjoys learning languages, particularly Chinese, Japanese, and French. Outside of medical practice, he enjoys hobbies such as specialty coffee, origami papercraft, piano music, and traditional archery.
